Work Location &nbsp;This position offers a unique opportunity to work in various locations around: District 50 (Shaver lake), or as a Roving Forester across Northern California if needed. Responsibilities <ul><li>Collaborate with major electric utility systems to inspect rights of ways and utility infrastructure, identifying vegetation incompatible with state and federal regulations.</li><li>Collect and enter data on handheld devices, follow maps, and use GPS navigation.</li><li>Communicate with landowners regarding necessary work on their properties.</li><li>Assess all terrain, habitat, and environmental conditions.</li><li>Coordinate with project managers, planners, and vegetation crews.</li></ul> Desired Qualifications We are seeking candidates at various experience levels, from CUF Class 1 to CUF Class 11, each with specific capability and experience requirements.<ul><li>Ability to embrace an outdoor, independent work environment.</li><li>Thrives on adaptation, continual learning, training, and attention to detail.</li><li>Possesses knowledge or the capacity to quickly learn local tree species and specific growth rates.</li><li>Able to work and hike in rugged terrain and inclement weather.</li><li>Understands that communication and teamwork are essential to our success.</li><li>International Society of Arboriculture certified arborist (ISA) highly encouraged.</li><li>Ability to learn to use range finders and job-specific equipment.</li></ul> Required Qualifications <ul><li>High School Diploma or GED equivalent.</li><li>A minimum of 1 year of arboriculture experience.</li><li>Possession of a valid driver's license.</li><li>A clean driving record (DMV printout required).</li><li>Proficient in operating a 4x4 vehicle on rough and narrow roads.</li><li>Willingness to travel. (Travel is not guaranteed but highly likely.)</li><li>Lodging and per diem paid for all overnight travel if on a Roving project.</li><li>Capability to safely and successfully perform essential job functions consistent with ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards.</li></ul> <h2> </h2>
