If you are a highly motivated, dedicated, and outgoing individual who likes to travel, this is the opportunity you have been searching for!</p><p><br></p><h3>Responsibilities</h3><p><br></p><ul><li>Collaborate with major gas and electric utility systems to inspect rights of ways, identifying vegetation incompatible with state and federal regulations.</li><li>Collect and enter data on handheld devices, follow maps, and use GPS navigation.</li><li>Communicate with landowners regarding necessary work on their properties.</li><li>Assess all terrain, habitat, and environmental conditions.</li><li>Coordinate with project managers, planners, and vegetation crews.</li></ul><p><br></p><h3>Desired Qualifications</h3><p><br></p><ul><li>Ability to embrace an outdoor, independent work environment.</li><li>Thrives on adaptation, continual learning, training, and attention to detail.</li><li>Possesses knowledge or the capacity to quickly learn local tree species and specific growth rates.</li><li>Able to work and hike in rugged terrain and inclement weather.</li><li>Understands that communication and teamwork are essential to our success.</li><li>Expected to become an International Society of Arboriculture certified arborist within 12 months.</li><li>Ability to learn to use range finders and job-specific equipment.</li></ul><p><br></p><h3>Required Qualifications</h3><p><br></p><ul><li>High School Diploma or GED equivalent.</li><li>A minimum of 1 year of arboriculture experience.</li><li>Possession of a valid driver's license.</li><li>A clean driving record (DMV printout required).</li><li>Proficient in operating a 4x4 vehicle on rough and narrow roads.</li><li>Willingness to travel.
